THANK YOU TO ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE 4TH ANNUAL MVP MEMORIAL FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT

We had another another perfect  Day, where over 120 golfers were greeted by enthusiastic volunteers to enjoy crystal blue skies and temperatures in the 70’s at our 2018 MVP Memorial Golf Tournament.  Matt’s presence was felt along the golf course and into the silent/live auction and dinner/awards program where themes of baseball, patriotism and country music were evident throughout the day. Many other guests joined us for the dinner and auction.

We set out to create an experience that celebrated  Matt's life, raised money for his charities  and had participants thinking as they walked to their cars, “I can’t wait to do this again next year”.  We believe we succeeded on that front again this year.   The funds raised allow us to continue to make an impact in his name by awarding support to veterans through the  Warrior Canine Connection, to make progress in medical research to treat and prevent myocarditis through the Matthew Poyner MVP Memorial Myocarditis research fund at the Johns Hopkins Heart and Vascular Institute and recognizing student leadership through senior leadership awards each spring at local high schools.

Thanks to everyone who shared in the joy with us and made Matt’s event a success.  Be sure to Save the Date for the Fourth Annual MVP Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, October 7, 2018 at Hidden Creek Country Club in Reston, Virginia.
